Mini Liposuction or Maxi Deception

There are various levels of complexity in operating rooms, so for example, heart surgery will be performed in a high-security room, whereas liposuction, on the other hand, requires a simple operating room. This does not mean that this procedure must or can be performed in an office or a shopping mall.

Although liposuction is a simple procedure for a plastic surgeon, it is not without risks.

Recently, an incomplete procedure known as mini liposuction has been promoted, performed by general practitioners, surgeons, or even specialists in various fields under inadequate conditions and equipment. This has generated an increase in the number of complications and poor results, subsequently referred to a plastic surgeon, resulting in many of these cases in very serious complications and very expensive treatments.

For patients who see this pseudo-procedure as a convenient option, it should be pointed out that there is no safety in surgery performed with little experience and poor conditions, and that the low cost, which may be attractive, goes hand in hand with the result achieved.

The safety of supervision and monitoring by an anesthesiologist, sterile conditions, adequate equipment and the experience of a plastic surgeon allow for a comprehensive, deep procedure on several areas, both on the front and back of the patient, without the stress, trauma and bad experiences of a major procedure performed under local anesthesia.

If it is sometimes difficult to satisfy a demanding patient with all of the above, then why spend money on questionable procedures that will most likely have a bad outcome?
